Throughout the year we also offer the opportunity for individual students to apply for one on one tutoring for any length of time and studying any subjects they wish. This course is designed for PRE and MID IB students. Students will cover 18 hours of study per subject, which includes 15 hours of the main subject, 2 hours of the minor subjects and 1 hour homework. Groups will be small, creating a friendly atmosphere for the students to learn efficiently.
During the course the students will cover the syllabus in up to 6 of their main chosen subjects and expand their knowledge in additional minor subjects.
Through a range of techniques such as studying IB papers and interactive learning, students will build their confidence in the chosen subjects. The homework private study will be supervised by our professional teachers. Students may choose to have individual private tutoring.
Throughout the week students will have the opportunity to explore Vienna, to visit museums, exhibitions or simply relax on campus with friends. Sports activities lead by our professional sports instructors will also be offered in the afternoon free time.
- Choice of up to 6 subjects
- Minor subject choices: TOK, EE, IA, Graphical Calculator and Excel skills, Personal statement, University application and CAS
- Each main subject is covered in 18 hours over 2.5 days: 15 hrs per main subject + 3 hrs of supervised homework
- Small study groups of up to 8-10 students (often 2-5 students)
- Lessons start at 9 am and end at 5 pm followed by homework, individual study or optional private tutoring
- Baroque study rooms located in a beautiful Austrian Palace with a view over a marvelous green park, creating a nice study atmosphere
- Classes are led by a team of exclusively selected, highly professional IB teachers from International schools, many of whom are experienced IB examiners. All IB teachers have a minimum of 15 years of IB teaching experience
- A written report and certificate will be given to each student at the end of their course
- Breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day
- Cultural excursions to Salzburg and afternoon sporting activities led by professional sport instructors
- Residential students will be collected from the airport on their arrival date and returned on their departure date

Residential accommodation fees: Include 18 hrs tuition per subject in beautiful baroque style seminar rooms. Sleeping accommodation offered in a fantastic 4 star campus (single or shared room) with en-suite facilities and WiFi. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks on campus.
Non residential fees: Include 18 hrs tuition per subject in beautiful baroque style seminar rooms, with breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks on campus.
Students may register for the IB Courses at any time before the course begins. However, residential students should send their application no later than 60 days before the date of the course, in order to secure their accommodation on campus. Classes are popular and spaces may fill up quickly, so the students must be sure to submit their application as soon as possible. Students will automatically receive an acceptance letter via email confirming their place in the program. After the deposit has been received, the registration will be completed. The acceptance letter will also detail the full schedule of the IB course along with a summary of the available sport activities and cultural events.

Payment: A deposit of €500 is required to be paid after the application form has been submitted and accepted. The balance of fees will be due 60 days before the courses begin. If the student has registered within 60 days prior to the beginning of the courses, then the full fee will be payable at once.
Chosen method of payment: Bank transfer or personal cheque. Please note that any charges incurred by the chosen method of payment must be borne by the applicant.
Bank Details: For security reasons we will not be publishing Study Academy Vienna Bank details online. They will be send immediately to you during the registration process.
Medical Insurance: All students must obtain their own medical insurance policy prior to attending Study Academy Vienna. Students from within the EU may use their E-Card or European Health Insurance Card. Private medical insurance is required for students outside the EU. It is advisable to purchase an accident insurance policy, travel insurance before coming to Vienna and comprehensive insurance to cover loos of personal items, although it is not necessary.
Obtaining VISA: EU citizens do not require a VISA. Non-EU citizens, please visit the following website, to obtain relevant travel documents for Austria: http://www.bmeia.gv.at/
